Rancho Zabaco’s 2003 Sonoma Heritage Vines Zinfandel
Rancho Zabaco is named for one of the original Mexican land grants in Northern Sonoma, which crosses over portions of the Dry Creek Valley, the area from which their grapes are drawn. Rancho Zabaco offers Zinfandel with big, bold, and distinctive varietals crafted for the Zinfandel enthusiast. Our 2003 Sonoma Heritage Vines Zinfandel is immediately approachable with bold spice and big blackberry fruit. Aromas of dark plum, black cherry, and spice are matched with warming coconut and vanilla. The mouthfeel is soft, with deep flavors of berry pie, jam, and spice.
Grape Type: 100% Zinfandel
Tasting Notes: Black Cherry and spiced matched with coconut and vanilla
Food Match: Rancho Zabaco Sonoma Heritage Vines Zinfandel pairs well with dishes that range from simple grilled meats to more exotically-spiced Mediterranean cuisine. With its forward fruit and soft tannins, it pairs well with hard to match spicy, highly seasoned foods and sauces, Bar-b-que, pizza and beef.

Rancho Zabaco’s 2004 Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc
While known for Zinfandel, Rancho Zabaco winemaker Eric Cinnamon also crafts a crisp, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc from the Russian River Valley as a white counterpart. The 2004 Sauvignon Blanc opens with aromas of boxwood, fresh cut grass, lime peel, lemongrass and sweet pea that are matched with flavors of grapefruit and passion fruit. The mouthfeel is both crisp and refined, with a touch of mineral adding focus to the fruit character and length to the finish. The wine is elegant and expressive, showing the many great varietal characters of a cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc.
Grape Type: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Tasting Notes: Aromas of lime and lemongrass with great acidity
Food Match: Rancho Zabaco Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with a wide range of foods including flaky white fish, scallops, chicken and salads. |
